Meridian

Meridian comes very much out of my love for ostinato-, or groove-based, music. Having grown up with the often World Music-infused jazz of Keith Jarrett and Jan Garbarek, as well as other influences such as Shostakovich symphonies, I’ve been easily drawn to having a consistent rhythmic drive in my music. Also, my love for 7/8 meter pops out a couple of places. Choral part is optional.
